Ooh how the scene has changed. Dabbled in the early 2000's and the PLUR scene was rocking in full force. Come back to it a few decades later and the music hasn't changed. Still cutting edge but the people and community around raving seem to have changed, A Lot
Facts. Dunno what you're grooving to these days, buy check out Charlotte De Witte. She has hands of gold, and IMO is one of the best to ever touch the decks when it comes to Tech-house.

I didn't even think it was possible to be rolling and have a "bad trip".

Sounds like a fun time to be a scene rat though.
Definitely possible. Happened to me once. Couldn’t move and could barely talk. Just had to lay there and hope I would be normal again when it wore off.
K was generally the "seasoning" sprinkled onto other, shall we say, "pharmaceuticals" like salt. Stuck in a hole, sadly, it most definitely makes it possible.
YUP!

1) Man, if you only knew the half of it. I most definitely should not be here right now. For this, and many other experiences. I'm grateful every day.

2) Yeah, I was a twenty year old kid. At that time though, I have been raving and clubbing for a few years and was well known in the scene. I didn't need a fake ID and never waited on lines.
I have a strong feeling I do know the half of it and, more than likely, even three quarters of it. Same scene in Chicago only 10 years earlier than you.

Everything has changed, a lot. So much that I don’t recognize it these days.

Back in the day, I looked at glovers the same way as someone would look at a dragon. Conceptually getting it, but knowing it's so filled with magic, you can't quite be sure what you're witnessing.. they were the party and the shamans.

Come back twenty years later with a few pairs of gloves myself and realize the glovers are almost an extinct species of nerds..

I'm less of a techno guy. More into the darker styles of hard style, dubstep and good ol DnB

Liquid was my first love before I started stringing. We are a dying breed. Plus, if I tried half the stuff I was able to do back in the day, I'd throw my back out.

I cut my teeth on jungle, but my true love has always been deep, hard house. I view tech and tech house as more ambient listening music.

So, we're just gonna gloss over this, eh @crusso1993 ?
Missed it between bouncing from thread to thread and also doing business stuff.

I’ve only got you by 10 or 11 years. That being said, I still have a strong back and I’m not doomed.

I dig it all. Just depends on my mood or the mood I want to create.

You’d throw your back out just thinking about being 25 again. That’s if your brain is functional enough to remember back that far.

I have like 5 brain cells left, and when they aren't having an orgy, they fight amongst themselves.

Now we know you’re lying because all five are lonely.

Better than having voices in your head that all speak languages you do not. That is rough, let me tell ya.
