I had my own design but it didn't fit my space. @Lost in the Sauce is my best reefing friend. Helped me think through it and decided on an end overflow like his instead of on the back like I envisioned. Hard to fit multiple 8 ft systems in the same small room.
Looking forward to seeing the new new all filled in.

Yeah, for sure. I'm intentionally limiting my plans to the 125-125 build as the primary system even though dreams are endless. I do have hopes someday to build an addition "sunroom" with a shaded portion for a potentially larger system in the future.

Our dream thank is 10 ft long. If I didn't have the other 8ft system in the room this is going in that would have been our length. I like the 30 inch wide and 25 inch deep arrangement. But 10 ft would have been preferred.

I'm calling it the Lost Template

@Joe Glass Cages you can borrow that!
Joe is still at the top of my list of considerations for new/custom tanks. It may be the template I'll want for the future upgrade, so I hope we keep it from being lost!
(Though I still like your name suggestion)

A few pics... cleaned some sand in preparation for the upgrade. Will hit it a few more times before the new tank is ready.

I'm more a liger fish fan.
Napoleon Dynamite Liger GIF by 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment

Ahhhh… the Liger fish. Rarer and harder to find but beautiful nonetheless! I’ve been on the lookout for one for years… to no avail. I presume they, too, require a large tank but no one really knows definitively because of their elusiveness!
