When I got the tank it had a huge GHA issues and I can’t get it to stop trying to take over no matter what I do…. it’s been a long process of making adjustments since November and I just can’t get it to stop. I think PO4 was so high for so long, before I got it that is got absorbed into the rocks and despite me things to keep it low, it just keeps leaching back into the system and feeding more growth. Just frustrated..
I'm assuming you don't want me to regurgitate what I learned from RHF about the binding of phosphates, so I'll just say Dude you're a brs mini reactor and a while with gfo away from good.

Unsure if you've read my whole build. When I started testing phosphate, I was between 2.1 & 2.4. my rock had been Abused yo.

If you just continue removing it using active, not passive removal, you CAN GET ahead of it.

I run gfo 24/7 and constantly test between .04 & .07.

Can that be added to a biocube? I feel limited because of the tank and what I can and cannot install on it.

It will not go in the rear chamber but can either hang on back, or (preferred method) pump installed in chamber 3, 1/2 tube run out the back and down with two 90's to the reactor sitting behind the cube and discharge coming back the same way into chamber one.

IF your rock is truly saturated with phosphates, You will need to bring down the equilibrium phosphate level in the water for a long enough time for the rock to reach equilibrium with your desired level.

I personally am not in the camp that thinks phosphates are always a bad thing. I ran 100 plus nitrates and 2 + phosphates quasi successfully with lps and softies (and would do it again)

I Decided to pull it down when I wanted to get into sps and to increase color on the lps.

@danieyella

Printing idea to get you Rich.

Inline/passive-ish reactor for AOI's that can drop in to the common chamber sizes for GFO or carbon.

This is the “media” reactor for my IM 25 Lagoon…as you can see by Dawn’s hands (she’s fun sized)…it’s not that big (yeah yeah, that’s what she said :face-with-tears-of-joy: ) fits in the second chamber of the lagoon, on either side. Might work for you…just have to figure out brand…

Edit: figured out brand…see photos :winking-face:

You should come check out my tanks and see us. I'm sure I can send you away with something I have a bigger selection than most of the shops around here.

But modern aquatics is a good one. The owner Jeremy is a pretty cool guy.
i actually got some of my first corals from there. a duncan that i still have and a dragon soul favia that got huge before i lost it. There are like 20+ heads on the Duncan.

Yo! How are them Montis looking?
Splendid of course. I'm growing your plate bigger by the day... all edges are healed and about 1/4 to 1/2 inch in growth all around.

Thanks everyone! This has given me a lot to think about and research. One thing is for sure. I will need to rework my back chamber configuration to execute any of the ideas I'm coming up with. This would be the first step. A lot of the products appear to be out of stock. so it will probably be a slow transition.

Just upgrade.... then more water equals more dilution and stability.
