Soon my guy...lavender trumpets..;Woot;Woot;Woot
DOOOO ITTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!Eye balling this one at the moment...
Goals right here!Spent the last few hours placing coral and tidying up the tank. Still lots of work to do but it is coming together. 6 months from now should be interesting. The coral are still angry but here is what it looks like. I'm pretty satisfied with the NSA rockwork. It looks better in person than the pics. Its hard to capture the depth.
Now on to setting up the nem tank so I can transfer my nems to it...
I dont know that I want to... I didn't like the answers to my questions when I called... he has had it 2 weeks, no treatments, under very little lighting, standard parameters... I dont have a tank I can QT in, and I don't have cipro... there is one that was for sale on here a state away, blue for 650. The guy has had it a year.... not sure what I want to do. I don't really want to take the chance... im so torn...DOOOO ITTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!
The sump looks great. Out of curiosity, why don't you run a sock/mat or skimmer? And @Lost in the Sauce I think ill keep my frag rack... but in my sump. That way I can continue to send stuff out to all my peeps...
This is my custom 40B sump...
I never have I guess lol... its way old school reefing. Everything gets balanced. My detritus settles in my fuge. I have a skimmer, over the back filter, and filter media if I run into a snag but otherwise... they just aren't set up... my coral tell me what's going on and when I need a water change... some faster than others. The sump looks great. Does your LR really do all of your filtration? What happens to larger particulates?
That’s tough. Although a 20 tall works great for treatment if needed. The lower light doesn’t bother me too much. I would ask for a pic of the mouth.I dont know that I want to... I'm stoked to have a lot of my filtration being picked up by the rock already as the skimmer just got set correctly. Just ordered cipro. It will be here Wed. Placing order for the nem with Thursday arrival date fingers crossed that it happens that way. I need to get my current one transfered out of the 20H before Wed, get the 20 cleaned and ready for Thursdays arrival... I just placed the order...That’s tough. A blue one for 650 is a little steep imo. Unless it is the metallic looking blue. The issue I have with ones in other peoples tanks is getting it out. I prefer to do that myself, so I can ensure the foot does not get damaged.
I do agree, tough call.
I think you have my number also lol. Always here for nems. NY Aquatics is one I have not had an issue with before. Order 2-3 nems from them and none needed treatment. They were all haddoni.Purple carpet nem on its way from NYAquatics. I will give everyone a review when received. Asked for Thursday delivery. Total cost for "10 inch" purple carpet nem with overnight shipping was $395.09.
Fingers crossed.... hope this goes well. I have never ordered a nem online. @Eagle_Steve you are now on call...
What kind of treatments would you guys be expecting?I think you have my number also lol. Always here for nems. NY Aquatics is one I have not had an issue with before. Order 2-3 nems from them and none needed treatment. They were all haddoni.
I always observe and rate my nems from 1-5. 1 bad and 5 great. What kind of treatments would you guys be expecting?
Hey @Eagle_Steve . maybe I should have done this.... or maybe I still should... thoughts?I always observe and rate my nems from 1-5. 1 bad and 5 great.
If they ever get to a 3 or so, I treat with Cipro. Haddoni, Gig and Mag nems are susceptible to bacterial infections due to long ship times and fouled water. I short, they poo in the bag and then have to sit in it. Makes them sick. The dirty water they are stored in while waiting to ship doesn’t help either.
Mags like way up high and that is not a bad price. Especially if they actually went through cipro. They are not bleached and the foot looks great.Hey @Eagle_Steve . maybe I should have done this.... or maybe I still should... thoughts?
Ohio - 2 African Magnifica aka Ritteri Anemones
Hi everyone, I got a shipment in with a few extra Magnificas to spare. They have been treated with Cipro. They have a reddish/brown base and purple tents with white tips. I am asking 150 per mag plus shipping. They are around 7-8 inches. Please check my feedback I’m have been shipping for years.www.reef2reef.com
I may even be able to pick up depending on where in ohio... up high would be ok then the carpets can be down lowMags like way up high and that is not a bad price. Especially if they actually went through cipro. They are not bleached and the foot looks great.
If I didn’t have 4, I would probably buy lol.
If you do not have guards for your powerhead, you will need them. Mags like flow and may get a little close lol.I may even be able to pick up depending on where in ohio... up high would be ok then the carpets can be down low
