At least you came out of there alive. My brother Wayne used to be a crabber and a sponge collector. Some people never went back home.
It's the rip currents that are scary. You don't fight those. You have to swim horizontal to shore till your out of it than swim back.

I still want to dive!
I love it. I wish I could grow gills and say heck with land lol.
I don’t know why I’ve always been mildly afraid of the ocean and lakes, basically any body of water where I can’t see my feet. I have been snorkeling many times and although I do enjoy it while I’m out there, I would prefer to be on a boat with a reel in hand. I am fascinated with ocean life and love seeing it and learning about it, I just don’t want to be underwater to do it lol.

All I've ever done as far as diving goes, is dream. Just like with sky diving.

I went sky diving once… the most intense part was the feeling I was about to jump out a perfectly good plane, then once we did and that adrenaline past, it was kind of boring. :face-with-hand-over-mouth:Maybe if I did it somewhere with an amazing view to take it. It feels like you are floating and I expected it to feel like falling. I do think everyone should try it at least once though.;)

I've read interesting things on when the chute fails. One lady landed on a fire ant hive. All kinds of broken bones. The doctor believed the ants kept her alive. They kept her adrenaline going. I always wondered if it was a fake story?
I am sure that wasn't what you had in mind though :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:
Now, I do love a good ski trip. I think the husband will say yes to that one. Colorado!

Ehh, I am tired about hearing about the falling part. Falling doesnt hurt at all.

Its the "hitting the ground" part :p
I never asked what hurt more. Truth can be said about being swept up by a current and being bashed into a bunch of sharp rocks.
