Is this some type of flat worm, Friend or Foe?

Flat and jelly like. I found this on my glass this morning. Have not seen this in the tank before. No new additions in 6 months. I did look through some of the other threads, but did not find anything so far.

Yeah, that's a flatworm - most likely a Convolutid species, possibly from the Waminoa genus. As a general rule, if it's a flatworm, you probably don't want it in your tank.

Thanks, I took it out, but I'm sure there is more. I did see in an older post that it could be a ghost flatworm that is harmless.

They’re probably not harmful, but they can reproduce in plague proportions.

You can beat them with multiple rounds of flatworm exit. It takes a few rounds because the eggs will survive.

I have a Six Line, so maybe it's keeping them at bay.

I’ve gotten them three or four times over the years, both red and clear ones like you have.

They always wind up multiplying to a point they’re everywhere. If they start reproducing, I would hit them with flatworm exit.
