I found this DI Resin online for $165 for 50lbs. Is this the same stuff BRS sells or at least will it work?

Thanks,
Tom

Yes you could use it .
I always use spectrapure resin's . This stuff does not indicate if it is color changing . It does state it is a cation H only resin . You still would need a anion resin as it is not a mixed bed resin .

Thanks for the info. I think I'll have to use the mixed bed resin Purolite NRW 37 nuclear grade. About another $100, but that will still be around $25 for a 5lb bag. Half price from what I've been paying.

Spectrapure usually has a customer appreciation sale every month via RC . I get the 5 lb bags . Normal price is 30 . It is not on sale this fall . 20 lbs is 90.00 10 cartridge fills or the silica buster for 110.00 . So ur saying your paying 50.00 for 5 lbs ? That is way too high .

No. That is a water softener ion exchange resin not a DI resin. Besides that it is a cation only resin and not a mixed bed cation/anion.

SpectraPure Customer Appreciation SALE! 20% - 50% off

DI resin has a short shelf life so do not buy more than you can use in a 6 month period. Once it has been opened it espires quickly so make sure to vacuum seal it and keep it moist and cool.
