I'm currently running viparspectras on my 220 with a depth of 30 inche. I've been looking to change lighting over the tank but I'm not willing to spend the big dollars it costs to do something like radions. My question for all you noopsyche users is, is this light adequate for a 30 inch deep mixed reef?

I've been keepings clams a bit over a year on the bottom of a 24" deep 180 gallon. Par was 300 on the bottom when I measured with an Apogee 510. I do have 6 over a 72x24x24" tank and due to canopy restrictions they are only 7 inches off the water. Its the tank in my showcase if you want to take a look.

EDIT: I get not wanting to dump thousands into big name lights. I like my K7s so well they will be coming over to my new build and I bought an extra so I would have a spare. For a $200 light including a mount they're pretty good bang for the buck IMO

Thank you that's what I was hoping to hear, I really want to switch to kessil but I'm just not convinced that the high dollar lights are that much better than some of the "off brand" lights. I've had great success with viparspectra for a lot of years but I'm looking to try something different with a little more control ability.

I haven't used kessil. I started with black boxes. I also have some Gen 4 radions , reefbreeder photons, and an old hydra 26. I won't touch new radions. Mobius sucks. I use it for mp10s and mp40s but would never use it for lighting as the app changes date and time randomly. The other day I checked and it was 2010. Its been an ongoing problem with Mobius. The noopsyches need a little more input for ramping because they do not ramp on their own but it's just a matter of settings the start point at a lower intensity.

EDIT: this is an example. The number are the lighting channels but I can't remember which is which because it's been quiet a while since I've set mine. They transition so it's not just an abrupt change to brighter or dimmer.

How do you go getting the viparspectras to light that deep at 30 inches? I have a new tank build 285cm x 70cm x 93cm height, looking into both viparapectras and noopsyche lights as budget entry light options mainly will be for soft corals, lps.

I have 3 NP over my 120g (48L 24W 24H). None of my my channels go above 60% and sometimes I have issues with too much light, growing montis on bottom glass so guessing I could go another 6” and dial up intensity

I currently have only 4 viparspectras on my tank, I need a lot more light for spread but I'm running them at 100% blues and 30% white. I'm still currently debating doing more viparspectra, kessil, or noopsyche.
