I've settled on using Tropic Marin Pro Reef for my 10 gallon. When I first set it up, I was able to find a small 8.8lb box. Now that I'm almost done with that box, I need to order more. All that I can find online, and none locally, is the 100 gallon box. It will take me a long time to go through that box with 1 to 2 gallon water changes. My local people say that they can't even get the Pro Reef at this time, suppliers are out????

Would it be OK to keep that salt stored for that long, or should I move over to something that I can get in a smaller package. Red Sea blue bucket and Brightwell NeoMarine seem to mix to very similar parameters as the Pro Reef, and I can get them in 50 gallon buckets.

I have plenty of super-cheaply acquired buckets sitting for years - no issue to report.
