my nutrients are a roller coaster, starts to bottom out I feed more and shut off the skimmer. If someone can nail this down (P&N) all that might change
If GHL does get this locked in I hope they release a controllable valve. A regular valve so someone can either collect skimmate or dump it back into the tank. A 3 way valve for those of us who use skimmate lockers so we can direct it either to the locker or back to the sump. I don't like turning the skimmer off.

I love GHL’s design and build quality, and still have yet to pick up a controller for my system, but there piecemeal style makes it hard to commit to their product. GHL has always been a little more expensive but it’s starting to look a little excessive at this point. A KH director is already $850 to make it function because you need to buy a doser, and your only monitoring one parameter, alk (can the 4th dosing head still be used to dose on a slave unit with no profilux? otherwise, it’s only able to monitor alk). For this ION director, is the expectation to pay another approx. $850 because you’re obviously going to need another dosing unit? Let’s assume it tests at least Ca AND Mg. So, somewhere around $1700 to test Alk, Ca (and hopefully Mg), 4 devices/boxes, and STILL not have an actual controller.

With the competition testing Alk, Ca, and Mg with just two devices, including the controller, for closer to $900, how do we justify spending so much more money for less of a product? Again, I’ve been a fan of GHL and was avoiding getting a different controller system because I really prefer their design, I was just waiting to see their response to all the new tech coming out automating tests that we’ve had to do manually for so long. It’s starting to look like it just might make more sense to go a different route, but maybe I’m missing something?

If the director tested alk as well, I’d be all over this. But you are right, that’s a lot of money and there’s much cheaper options

At least calcium monitoring. Not sure what other ion probes may or may not be possible? Waiting on more details.
At this time it’s a single probe that monitors PHOSPHATES, MAGNESIUM, CALCIUM & NITRATES with an extra bay left for monitoring one more , this spot is still undetermined from what I was told they are still tweaking probe to be able to handle this last spot.

I left out Sodium, it works with a single probe with no reagents!

It uses reference solution on every test though. So there will still be a consumable cost.

It's been kind of silent on the delivery aspect of this. I can certainly understand if they are having issues but I would at least like to know if it's going out on time or if it will be late. if so what is the approximate new delivery date.

Phosphates? I thought phosphates didn't make it ?

He's getting Phosphate mixed up with Potassium. It would be nice if it was true.
My bad. You are correct. But meanwhile I heard rumors of phosphates filling the last spot. Meaning a new probe is being tested at length.

You are 100percent correct. It’s potassium not phosphates. But I have spoken to someone who said they are steadily working on phosphates. As it will be an upgrade making one wonder if they are close by having that extra spot on GHL control Center, as well as the extra aux. port. Only time will tell. Thanks for the correction!

Based on what they posted today I would wager it will be late awaiting materials from suppliers with some more updated dates next week.

I wouldn't expect it to be at your door until June to play safe. Virus is gonna push it back plus just add the regular delay and missing date slightly. It's common with releases. If it comes early great. But personally, I'm expecting June.
