First, my new LiFePO4 batteries and inverter with auto transfer switch worked like a champ. Great investment. But I only have one of my two tanks hooked up to it as I am just about to break both tanks down and consolidate to one tank.

My acro tank in my bedroom is never truly 100% dark. I have moon light on till 2 AM and then my GEO algae reactor glows right next to the display overnight as well. Plus, there is almost always some type of ambient light in addition. Well tonight we lost power for about 4 hours. The tank went pitch black and stayed that way for the entire time. Shortly before the power went on, I went to the bedroom to grab an extra flashlight. So of course I took a look at the tank. There were hundreds and hundreds of micro brittle stars climbing to the top of the tank. There were piles of these at the waterline. I was able to actually watch them walk out of the rocks. I have a couple of those horrible Ecotech batteries daisy chained together and plugged into an MP40. So out of the 6 power heads I ln this tank I had one running on battery back up. So I am not sure if the lower oxygen or the fact the total black out caused them to do something different. Now, I had plenty of water movement though. Sadly, as soon as I got my phone to take some pics power came back on. And even more sadly, this tank has insane flow with 6 powerheads (reefer 250), all these little guys made the tank instantly look like it was snowing, lol.
