You are being very patient with this and Thanks for sharing the equipment list.
I am looking at the 150EXT now. I kind of dread the build plumb and water test in the garage only to drain, unplumb, and then move it... I laughed at your note thinking.. I will probably risk it in the living room for water test. No guts no glory... . I'm looking forward to seeing you next posts
Also. May I ask, clear bottom? No sand? I keep going back and forth, is there a thought you had to drive your decision.

Hey! Sorry for the delay in response, it’s been a very hectic week or so, between work, life, and all the ongoing projects at home! I’ll have another update on this build shortly!

To answer your question, I went with Caribsea Special Grade live sand. I quickly thought about the bare-bottom, but I have goby’s, shrimp, and just prefer the look of a sand bed. I’m trying to replicate a reef here, and I feel sand is very important for that.

Man…. What busy times….

Life has been hectic, and updating this feed has unfortunately been on the back burner, but here’s some updates!

I have the tank transfer from my 75g done, and the tank has been running with life for about 2 months now…

I’m dealing with the usual uglies, but coming out on the other side.

I’ve been super successful with my livestock, and the only thing I’ve lost since transferring has been a hectors goby (which I’m actually very sad about as I’ve had him for a few years now and he started out in an evo 13.5 and we’ve been through a lot together)

Enjoy some updated photos of my reef tank!

Next task is just wire management, and “sprucing up” the fish tank room, and picking away at other things!
