I've been wanting to add a sumo to the small tank and while browsing Craigslist found an add for a bunch of misc reed stuff that included an overflow box, skimmer, some pumps, and a diy sump.

The lot of it was only $50 and included a brand new 47 gallon temper d column tank with lid.

Hopefully someone else on Craigslist will take the column tank off my hands.

The diy sump is junk and I'll probably just add it to the recycling.

Still for $50 I'm happy with the overflow, skimmer, and pumps.

Oh, there's a sterilizer in there too.

Nothing new, but my stylophora has such lovely polyp extension I had to take a quick pic.

Still battling a bit of hair algae which is why the whites are off in the middle of the day. The main issue is the understocked clean up crew and overfeeding. (Though I couldn't resist throwing in some cyclops and mysis since the polyps were so happy already)

Squeeeee!

These guys will be arriving next Tuesday! I've been looking everywhere for a golden sailfin blenny and this is the first one that actually looks yellow. Tiny little guy, hope he handles the trip ok.

And I was so anxious to check out I flipped thorough the other diver'd den fish as quickly as I could and grabbed this guy since he was on my short list.

I'm also upgrading next month to a 48"x 24"x 16" 80 gallon shallow reef. I will turn my 10 gallon into fishy QT and likely sell off the AJ60.

Ok, so my new fish should be arriving on Tuesday and despite my trying to avoid the acanlord live sale, I attended 3 hours and bought 12 items.

I've been wanting to try a bubble tip. I've never had a nem and figured a bubble tip would be a good start and a gorgeous purple and pink one popped up on the sale so I had to bite.

Then I purchased some misc frags of things that I've been wanting. I'm trying to keep to a color scheme, avoiding most greens for oranges, pinks, and purples, and I think I did a good job.

Frog Spawn-looks like it has a lot of pink and I love all the euphyllia.

Despite the delayed shipping problem, the two new finbabies are doing really well.

The Blenny is like the size of a pinto bean! His color is much more golden today and you can see the full belly.

The filefish is such a curious little thing. Staring at me as I stare at it. It will tilt it's body to give you a good look.

It's mainly chowing on cyclops but seems to be sampling other fare as well.

I mix some frozen mysis, cyclops, and Ocean Nutrition Formula one with SA hatchery crumbles, new life spectrum pellets and liquid vitamins and feed it with a pipette.

The TINY blenny is also eating well. I have a couple pieces of algae covered rubble in the kritter keeper, put a little nori under one of the pebbles, and squirted a bit of food mix in as well.

I've been feeding twice a day and just before feeding suck any debris out of the keeper with a turkey baster so uneaten food isn't building up.

Both of their bellies are bulging!

Hello, love your pix!!! Awesome! I have a question, did you use a Protein Skinmer with the AJ-60? I purchased one, well I had been contemplating it for a couple of months now and after I saw your thread, I dove right in and got it!!! But I'm curious about the skimmer, i noticed you didn't bite any on your equipment list, just curious, thank you in advance for your time. Have a great and prosperous day.

I actually bought a super cheap $9 mame type skimmer and an air pump. It fits in the back compartment and I adjust it by moving it up and down. It took a couple days to dial it in but it works really well! Under $20 for everything you need!

I have the suction cups stuck to the divider between the return and the middle compartment. Have some patience getting it dialed in, it took me a couple days of adjusting it up and down a centimeter at a time each time I walked by before it broke in properly.
