I took this last night near Boulder CO.

I love the way the actinics auroa makes the coral sky pop.

Earlier in the year, I spent 10 days in Iceland on landscape photography tour trying to capture the aurora. The weather & aurora did not cooperate, there was only one night with minor activity. Can't imagine what it was like there last night.
Iceland has always been a dream of mine to go and see the waterfalls and aurora.

Here's one of my attempts with a Nikon DSLR.

(Edit: hmm, that nikon pic really doesn't view well on the phone)

(better version: mostly dragged brightness up, turned red down a hair to see more of the green that was elusive at our latitude.)

In new jersey we had too much light pollution. But we did have some nice pictures taken.. the first was from my backyard. The second was from someone over the bay looking out over the barnaget lighthouse.

Just missed a VERY rare site this far South … I’ve live in N.Ohio most of my life and in the dozens of time this has occurred , Cleveland is ALWAYS cloudy …
I’ve never seen one…:anxious-face-with-sweat:

Alaska? now that’s hardly fair is it? LOL
That's one of the really fun things about a huge geomagnetic storm like this. Southerners get to play along as well, not just the AK and MN folks.

In central Texas we had no visible Aurora, but the sky was red in cell phone pictures. I did capture the ATLAS Comet that is currently visible. I shot from my roof with my D810. Then I made this timelapse of about 25 pictures over a 40 min or so timeframe.
