With a heater, I'd actually go with a redundancy. 2x 200W with an Inkbird Controller. This way, you have a back up heater just in case one shuts down. Also, consider heaters with a Titanium Body. Those double as a grounding probe IF they have a three prong plug in.

Concerning the Gyre, take a look at the 330. It may give you a few more options. The pros are the multitude of directional flow choices. The cons include more parts to break and they need to be cleaned once weekly to keep up their power profile (JUST learned that last part a few days ago).

Skimmer is fine. If memory serves, it's good upto 100g heavily stocked.

I can't comment to lighting as I don't know anything about the fixtures you've chosen.

Hope this helps.

This has been mentioned but 100% build in redundancy where possible, so an inkbird controller with a couple of heaters (have them at slightly different temperatures), cost is minimal when you consider the peace of mind it brings.

Would also agree with the ATO, at some point your probably going to want to consider supplemental things like Dosing and UV (perhaps), so maybe consider the cost for them at the 6 month mark, lay out a sensible budget in advance (easy to get sucked into spending).

Another thing I'm doing with my upcoming build is redundancy in my return pumps. I'll be running two Syncra 9.0s. So if one goes bad (or gets clogged), the other will pick up the slack.

A plastic scrapper for the back. That black backing scratches easily! Only use plastic on it.
