I want to get more into SPS but am doing as much research as possible.
Right now I'm growing a good amount of coralline algae. Does this signify SPS readiness?
I have a digi coral that I've had for 2 weeks and has polyps extension, however, the colors don't look as bright as in the store.

Also what are some hardy sps corals that are recommended ??

We need to know your setup. SPS do better in mature systems. Some beginner SPS would be Green Slimmer, Garf Bonsai, Red Planet, almost everything ORA. Those are more forgiving ones I can think of. Color changing is extremely common. It’s when it turns white you got a problem. Have fun with the SPS bug

It's a good sign but there's a lot of pieces to the puzzle.

Pic of the digi? Could be different lights or chemistry.

Purple Stylo is real easy. Some say birdsnest but more often than not, they are super finicky.

I don't think your gonna get a definitive answer and imo definitely shouldn't. Growing coralline is definitely going in the right direction but trial and error is probably your best bet. Start your collection slow with hardy specimens and work your way up. Part of the fun imo.

Of course you can. Youll kill a ton in the process but may get some to take. Heres a valida in the first month of this tank:
