Not sure what this is, it's quite thick but scrapes of the rock easily, only to return eventually, it's only on this rock and no where else in the tank. I am aware I have an algae issue and am dosing fluconazole to eradicate it.

Could be coraline? Does it flake off if you touch it with something?

I wouldn't say flakes off as it's quite soft and just gently rubbing it more or less brushes off the rock, coraline would be quite hard I would have thought.

Def doesn't look like coraline algae. I would just call this butt ugly brown algae. Try siphoning off what you can. You can also try taking a tooth brush with some hydrogen peroxide on the brush and scrubbing the rocks. This won't solve the problem of what caused the algae but should get some off.

Looks like red cyano, especiallly if it comes off the rock really easily with brushing or blowing it off with a turkey baster.
Yes I agree possibly cyano, it did brush off easily, I have also brushed off the other algae and the tank is looking a lot better, just hope it doesn't return.

I’d take a sample to your lfs if they have a magnifier and determine what species of cyno it is so you’ll know better how to eradicate it

It could be that there is not enough flow in the tank, I am only using the return pump at the minute, It's a red sea max nano so I was trying to get away without using a powerhead.
