Recently got my ICP test back and shows a bunch of trace elements are lacking. I plan to purchase some and begin dosing, however I was wondering if they are all necessary? If not which ones are the most important to start with first. I would love to be able to grow a verity of corals, currently only softies seem to survive and I’m guessing this test shows me why lol

It also shows high aluminum and tin, yet I have no clue what would cause that.

Yeah, very typical for a first ICP-MS if not supplementing any trace elements. Everything is basically depleted. Once you start bringing those elements up, good things are coming to your reef. Softies will look twice as good also, and start changing color.

What all are you dosing in the system currently?

I have a soda ash mixture for dosing ALK. But besides that I don’t dose anything. Was doing regular water changes and was told that would take the place of dosing.
