I received this ICP test back yesterday. My tank is a 6 foot 750 litre FOWLR. As you can see, silicon, iodine, zinc, phosphate, potassium, phosphorous are all off the charts. I live on an off grid property, and all our water is rainwater which is stored in rainwater tanks. The tanks are galvanized on the outside, and possibly on the inside. So i know where the zinc would be coming from. I have no clue about the rest of the elements. Phosphate is high because i am currently running a hyposalinity period, and only have a reefmat and skimmer for filtration and feed heavily, i can't yet run a refugium. Last i checked my nitrates were about 20pmm but that was almost a month ago. I don't dose anything since it's only fish and don't run any kind of media. Are these levels concerning for fish? Is it a good idea to invest in a reacotr running something like purigen to remove these metals and elements? Thanks
