Anyone else have their IceCap Gyre controllers stop working over the weekend?

I was using one to mix my salt

The controller just goes to "0"

I'm like, fine

I have another in a box. Pull it out. And the controller does the same thing.

Just goes to "0", and the pump makes a buzzing sound

Two controllers bought at the same time. One used a lot, the other half as much. Both go out at the same time.?

It's like they had a timer built into them, to stop working simultaneously

Anyone else encounter this?

For the most part when the controllers die they don't turn on at all. It is likely an issue with the pump itself. When the power supply dies you don't get the power supply light and nothing turns on. When the controller dies you get the power supply light but nothing on the controller screen but if the motor dies then you get the controller turning on but nothing from the pump.

I would start with a good cleaning of the pump in some acid and see if you can get it to start. I would also try starting the pump without the rotors attached. If the rotors are worn, dirty, or misaligned then they can put resistance on the pump. If the pump detects resistance it will stop the motor from spinning as a protection. Removing the rotors will let you know if it is the pump or rotors that are the problem.

Connor at CoralVue has fixed my Wifi Dual Gyre Controller. GJ Conner

We are still working on these wired controllers

The both turn on. Start their programming. Then go to "0"

It has the same behavior

Whether there is a pump attached or not attached

It does it in each of the 5 flow modes. Of which, I can program as normal. But as soon as it exits the program mode, same behavior.

See the video above
