Could I add a nano tank in between the return pump tube? Pros and Cons?

I run 2 tanks off of 1 pump but they each have their own bean animal setup.

I would do a separate small pump in your sump to do it if you can fit it. Depending on flow you probably wont want all the flow from your main tank pumped into your nano

You could do a manifold with a gate valve to the nano, but make sure it has its own drain to the sump like @slythy said. This also depends on your current return pump available output. If you are already maxed out, then a separate pump would be better.
