Hey everyone! I am starting up a fluval flex and I am wanting to add a sump. Do I need to remove the baffling in the all in one area and the return pump. Or can I just have both running and have the hob overflow off to the side of the aio area?

The HOB overflow would need to blow less than the AIO's overflow. Trying to balance the two would be a pain and probably end with lots of water on the floor. Is the glass tempered? If not it would be better to drill it for a drain to your sump while keeping the AIO's overflow going OR installing an external overflow and removing the AIO one. :)

Yeah I have decided to completely remove the AIO baffling and use a HOB overflow because my tank is tempered glass.
