So Apparently I am one of the lucky few to randomly get selected as a "thank you" for being a loyal customer!!
I literally have NO other information other than that. I received an E-Mail from their Marketing Specialist Kyle Thomas, and confirmed with Sales Manager Tom Dachille.

I cant hook up the unit until the new firmware is released on May 30th, So expect an update to this thread then.
I must say this unit is GORGEOUS! the finish compliments the new style and color Neptune is using. The Trident NP does not have the soft rubber finish however.
The unit looks exactly the same in all other aspects. There are a few slight difference that I did notice under the hood so far

-Reagent screw tops are labeled as 1, 2, 3 - this is so you dont mix up the trident reagent with the trident NP reagents
-The reagents and tube labels are also a different colors - Purple, Orange, and Grey
-Tops screw cap feed tubes are plastic instead of metal
-There is a Reagent 3b which must be mixed with reagent 3 before the unit can use it
-The front top plate comes off and there seems to be a cylinder to measure a level of fluid - possibly a reagent or water test sample level?

Please let me know if you have any additional questions! I will try my best to answer.

All pictures below.

Hello,

Thanks for being an awesome Neptune customer and we hope you are having a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend! As you may have seen in a recent email invoice, we are sending you a Trident NP on us to say, "Thank You". The official launch date for the Trident NP is Thursday, May 30 2024, at which time updated AOS for your Apex and full support for the Trident NP will be available in Apex Fusion. If you receive the Trident NP before then, please do not open the reagents or setup the new unit until then. If you have any questions about being a winner of the Trident NP or other questions or concerns please reply to this email and I'd be happy to help!

Thank you again for being awesome!
-Kyle Thomas

Good. Soft touch coated plastics are universally the worst material ever as they all inevitably disintegrate into a sticky mess. I have multiple VorTech dry sides in this state.

The rest looks 100% like a trident. The front reservoir is the sample and mix chamber and has been there on all tridents.

Congrats! And wow that’s a lot of bottles! I guess that settles the mixing question everyone had. Thanks for sharing, and enjoy!

Agreed on the soft touch! my vortechs have done the same!
I have the OG trident, and the a3 system, so yes I agree its 100% the same other than what I have noticed listed above. I still cant find anything about the Level sensor - and the neptune help page is still password locked

Seems to be a little more than the original
Honestly, looks identical.

The biggest difference if any would be the photo sensor and LEDs used as part of the measurement chamber. But I’m not familiar with the chemistry here to be able to speak to what is required.

Do you get more than 2 calibrations with the amount of calibration fluid sent in case of a calibration error?

Wild. I’ve had a Neptune controller for over 20 years. Had one of the first aquacontrollers. Guess they don’t like that I give harsh feedback. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Same boat. I'm still running a classic APEX still - had to replace the SPI flash chip on it, and abate some corrosion by cleaning it and conformal coating it, but its boring reliable outside of that :upside-down-face:

It blows my mind. They give stuff like this to new users who will shill their stuff. Not to people who will actually provide feedback that will make their product better.

Oh well. It’s one of the reasons I’m switching to hydros.

New user? What makes you think that?
See Pic below of my setup please. I just spent a weekend converting it from the Apex classic lite I purchased new in 2012. Maybe that's why they chose me to review this unit?

What makes you think OP is a new user?
Thank you - just looked at my first order from BRS - January 19, 2010. I didn't realize it's been 14 years

Anyhow.... I just installed the Trident NP and ready to activate tomorrow. Side note - Neptune changed their landing page for the NP to the new units graphics! Although it's still password protected.

Im kinda disappinted by the price of the reagents. I am inline at my LFS to get one but its very expensive to operate. Im hoping ABC comes swooping in quickly.
