So its time again to frag my monti...
I hate doing that. I hate ruining the perfect circular swirls. Then they start getting jagged and form their own swirls and ruins the circle.
The top one is almost 20 years old fragged probably a hundred times. I kid you not. I got lazy and some frags dropped and formed more montis. and now i have to frag those guys because they're blocking the light. My bubble coral is always mad and trying to peep out under from the 2nd monti.
But i just HATE ruining the swirling circles. See all the jagged edges on the 1st monti? Where I chip off, there always grows a little bit of hair algae. The hair algae on damaged edges of the monti is my fault. I've neglected the tank for months and I should seriously do a water change.
Whats the best way to heal fragging montis and have them regrow nicely again?
I know you lose the swirling circle. Poop.
I notice when i neglect the tank, also i get more darker greenish brownish coralline algae on the glass too. When i'm on top of it, the coralline algae is more purple.
