Should I add more rock to my tank?

When I set up my tank 5 months ago, the local fish store I work at didn’t have the best selection of rock, and it was only dry rock. But we just got a shipment of some really nice live rock chunks with lots of coralline algae on it. I’m wondering if it would hurt anything to add a small piece to my tank, maybe on top of the two rocks on the left side?

It wont harm anything, but to me that tank already has more than it needs.

Once fish and coral start to grow it will get overcrowded fast.

I agree with others it will become crowded with more rock.

Not more but I would probably break up some of the larger pieces. That will give the option of using the same amount of rock to achieve less height and more width.

I think the amount of rock you have is great. If anything, maybe smash up a couple of the pieces so you can create a scape with more pass-through and hiding spots.

Sure, feel free to add what you want, the way you want.

More rock = more processors.

OP could install a new cpu which would take up less space than rocks if they need more processors for their tank. The Intel i5 series would work well with that tank size, though AMD is a better bang for the buck.

It looks like an Evo 13.5.

It would run just fine with a 386

I think OP would want to prioritize graphics driver over processing power, for aesthetics

since the tank is against a wall you could break this up and add some of the live rock and slope it all towards the back to make a “reef wall”
of sorts

That’s a good idea, but I think I have enough hiding spots. The inside of that structure is hollow, and there’s a “basement” for my pygmy wasp and my porcelain crab, as seen in the first picture. It goes all the way underneath the structure and then there’s a hole in the back leading to the main cave. The second picture is what I ended up adding, an island for when I add mushrooms.

Looks good! If it was my system I would remove the large rock top left. That rock takes up alot of space that could be used for coral growth.
In the end its what you want your system to look like.
This is my old 20g 18" nano cube to get an idea. It is sometimes hard to picture what the system looks like when its grown in.
Zero to 10 months and im out of room.
