I would have to agree. "Batman" is a proper noun that just happens to have a word in it that changes with quantity. However, being a proper noun, you don't change the proper noun to make it plural. For instance, when the Blackman family has a gathering, it would be the "The Blackmans are getting together", not "The Blackmen are getting together."
