Regardless how sure the others in this thread are, it doesn't have to be a jellyfish from hydroids. It can also be introduced with artemia etc.

I have some collonial jellyfish in my tank. Was even able to made a frag of them but they are very fragile.

The medusa are even more fragile and die in a few days no matter what i did

I feed live artemia for my mandarin, mostly daily, which I use hobby box/ windowsill box.
I'm not questioning... more enquiries as this new to me and exciting.
Do you think artemia are now getting established, what signs do I look for

Where and why only new aquriams?
My aquarium is 4 years old, hitchhiking is one of the possibilities why i found it in my aquriam, but I'm still unsure

Do these harm fish or corals is the ultimate question for me
Thank you

The collonial species in my tank has a strong sting but doesn't multiply fast or easily. I had them introduced as hitchhikers several times and they never made it. This time it's the first time they slowly multiply.

I've kept it separately from my aquriam, I'm feeding it live artemia which could be to big, it's a great side project to learn about

It's a plastic jug that hangs nicely over my aquarium, bottom submerged enough to keep temperature... But ugly

Any suggestions welcome, thanks

Think I might require your expertise if that's ok :)

What do you want to know. My sessile jellyfish have zooxanthella so they don't need much food and the medusa can be fed with living bbs.
where do I start lol, I have kept this guy in a jug that's hanging nicely for my aquriam.
From research which is minimal.
I could find jellyfish do not survive for very long in aquriams? Any ideas on spieces? It's grown alot in the 3 weeks since capture. in all this time I have removed jug water and refresh with new water (from my aquriam).
I try to suck up copepods and artemia from my aquriam water after feeding/during .
You say yours eat BBS? Mine is probably the same size as a BBS.
Thanks

It looks like Medusa? If it is do I discard or keep, unusual to find it in my 4 year old aquarium from what others say.
I'm tempted to touch it but no one around to wee on me

They only survive in tanks with minimal flow like your jug or my qt tank that was filled to the brim with caulerpa. You sure it has the same size as bbs? In that pic under the microscope, my jellyfish was just a few times larger than the artemia but could still eat it.
Your choice if you keep it. These are not beginner friendly animals (more like expert ones) and in my opinion you have some sessile jellyfish somewhere in your tank. probably from species Nausithoe sp. or other species from the Coronatae genus.
