Fellow Reefers, I have followed many discussions about equipments and making the "right choices" for "high end" equipment and the consequences not doing so when it comes to control options.
I fully walked into this knowing it will not be easy to connect all the parts since this industry has not established "open" common standards for controlling equipments.
So, in my opinion, some manufacturers are simply holding back at giving access to their devices.

I'm honing in on Hydros because their options fit my budget.
I'm trying to automate my Pompideux reef over time as much as possible without breaking the bank.

Actually the first problem I'm trying to solve is having control over all wave pumps and in-line pumps to control the feed pause function.
My current equipment:

- 2 Jebao Vario DC Pumps DEP-6500
- 2 Jebao Vario Wavemakers DLW-30
- 1 Jebao Vario Cross Wave Maker DCW-120

I have found threads how to connect one of these devices but nothing outlining how to control multiple devices.

My dream is in future to also control:
- 1 Theiling Rollermat Compact Rollermat
- 1 Skimmer Somatic 120s
- 2 Heaters
- 1 Sicce AC pump (on/off form my carbon filter)
- Automated testing

Jebao pumps—we can't connect to them directly. However, we can still give you control for that feed action you're after.

All you need to do is plug the pump into a HYDROS Controllable outlet. This makes any pump, skimmer, or device compatible with HYDROS. While we can’t control the variable speed of the pumps (without 0-10v control), we can control the binary on/off function. So, when you activate FEED Mode in HYDROS, it automatically cuts power to your pumps, skimmer, return pump, heaters, or anything else connected.

My recommendation: check out the Control XP8. It gives you 8 AC outlets to plug your equipment into. You’ll also want a Control unit with SENSE and PROBE ports to monitor and trigger actions based on inputs. For instance, if a leak is detected, HYDROS can automatically shut down your return pump, skimmer, or other connected devices, no matter the brand. So pair that XP8 with a HYDROS Control that has enough ports to do the jobs you wish....or start small and add on later.

Thank you.
A good starting point for what I’m after.
Yhis does what I need and has the added bonus of probes. Love the leak control option
Thank you.
Hope that on some future time Jebao adds 10v control ports.

Are Jebao/Jecod pumps on a list for support in the future, or are there other factors limiting Jebao/Jecod wavemaker direct control support with the Wave Engine?

Conner should answer this one. @Conner at coralvue

As far as what I read the ball is in Jebao's court. They need to open up and allow other controls to run their pumps.
I posted the question to Jabeo but didn't receive any response.

That's kind of what I figured, but thought I'd ask somebody instead of assuming.
I have a couple wavemakers and returns and the new DMP wavemakers look tempting.

If you think about what it is you want to control then the wavemakers and other pumps don’t really need a “control” once you set them up you most likely going to run with those settings until they die. Of. Purse and and off fo4 feeding, but a smart pug will do that and all controlling systems offer that function.
When it comes to other things like proves, dosing, water temp, wter level in various spots, incl. the floor, then a controller comes in handy.
Even through 8 jus5 said all these things I sure want a complete
hydros system and grow with them…….
Contradict myself?
