Good news — after removing the departed from the tank, with the skimmer and uv sterilizer going and lights down low, the algae growth on the glass was significantly decreased today.

More good news — at least one of my giant brittle stars survived! I saw him slinking back into a hidey hole toward the back of the tank. Hopefully that means a few more have escaped the Scarlet Onslaught.

In weird news, any time I see my ruby mithrax it is hanging out with or beneath my LTA. I tried to snap a pic, but she's camera shy.

That is good news... hopefully the drama is over and good things going forward.

Fingers crossed. I've had a doozy of a time the last few months!
Yes ma'am, or bridge troll whatever, you have... those hard lessons are usually well learned though and you come out the other side better off. It's not the easy lessons we remember, it's the hard beats we have along the way that stick.

preach. And I’m still working on my build lol
Work harder... double shifts... no breaks (says the guy who's tank sat in his trailer for 6 months before he got it in the house. Still no water in it btw... but it's pretty.)

90 dBA is the average sound of a construction site, not your lights. Unless they're doing construction via pillowfight in your neck of the woods, it is outrageous to claim that 64 dBA is as loud as a construction site.
The sound of the NP fans doesn't bother me, but it might bother some. I'm peeved by NP acting shocked that their cheap fans aren't whisper-quiet and trying to pin it on me and my delicate ears, inattention to my environment since 2011, or my basis for comparison. That is ****** customer service, IMO, and I didn't even reach out asking them to remedy anything.

Hi, Did not mean to offend you ;Nailbiting . I am just a staff of NP. Because next to our company is a Construction site with 65db noise all day .So we have to wait until the workers are off work to measure. We just want to solve the problem. At least some users knows that.

When I sent you the light, I told you that if you have any questions, please contact us for support. You have never actively contacted us once. Not even @us for helping solve the problem. If we hear loud noises that prove to be quality problems and parts need to be replaced, we will definitely provide support.

We just want to see a video . We are eliminating all possible causes for your fans. Hope you forgive if you feel any discomfort.(hug) Because no one can guarantee whether the express delivery process will be thrown around.

I have stated numerous times that the fans don't necessarily bother me, despite being noticably louder than other lights (in my experience). Hence, I don't need to contact you and don't need a remedy. I am sharing my experience without bias.

Instead of fixating on my loud fans, you guys should focus on a better controller. That's my real gripe.

So could you pls help me figure out ? Our measured decibel is indeed about 47db/
30cm: 44.8db
20cm: 47.5db
10cm: 48.9db

If it reaches such a high decibel as your test, it is a malfunction and needs repair or replace parts.
thank you,
NP
