Have a 180 with 40gal sump and it’s a new tank so that could be it but I didn’t think so. I have duso overflow I think it’s called. My drain pipes go into my water in the sump and are 3in from the bottom and the water level is at 10in in the sump. I believe the bubbles are coming from the drains wondering how to get it to stop making them.
Could it be putting socks or filter floss if so how could I DIY a gloss cup or sock holder for it.
Could it be drilling the overflow air hole so more air goes into it?
Could it be turning down my return pump?
Any ideas help thanks! Will include photos.

From the pic it looks like you are moving to much water through your system. Slowing the retrun pump down will reduce the bubblimg effect.
I was reading matching the return chamber with the other (water level) side would also reduce bubbles do you belive this to be true?

The return pipe into the sump looks too deep in the sump. That prevents proper syphon and keeps air in the pipe.. The water on the return end is dropping to much causing more bubbles. As stated above, water flow is to fast.

Just my opinion

Interesting so you think shorting the pipes going into the sump could fix this? If so how long would you think they should be, or how deep into the water? Also do you think the air coming in could be from the overflow up in the overflow box or no?

You will have to experiment, from what I understand, the water pressure from being to deep won't allow the air to be pushed out to create a proper syphon.

So I did these things and it's 90% better.
1. Raise the water level in the return pump side to match with the other baffle so the water doesn't fall over the baffle.
2. I covered the top air holes of the drain with tape
3. lowered my return pump from speed 6/10 to 4/10

Now I will be undoing in this order
1. increasing the speed of my return
2. un taping the top of the drains
To see what was the problem. As I would like my return up be running a little faster to give the display more flow and so I can get away with no power heads for a little while. As well as having the air holes uncovered to stop a siphon.

Looks like you're running a traditional Durso overflow. A Herbie or Bean Animal overflow will give you a lot less churn and bubbles into the sump.

You don't want your return line(s) submerged too far underneath the water in the sump - 1-2" should be good. Too deep and they'll never clear out all the air in the line to make a siphon. But with a durso I'm not sure how much that will help.

IMO you are asking for trouble by running high flow through the sump to get flow in the tank. Noise, salt spray, and more heat are all side effects of doing that. It can be done...but really I'd think about getting a powerhead of some sort in the tank for flow. I'd target 3x tank volume (anywhere from 2-5x is ok).

I got it at setting 4 and with my return that is a 2050GPH and it has 10 settings I'm assuming its about 200 per button it its at about 800 which is 4x. and Ima just leave it there and scour facebook groups and marketplace for cheap nero's. think those on my back walls would be nice and I want to try gyre, but I hear how they clog a lot so I'm ify on those. Also I cut the tubes smaller so they are barely under the water about a inch of less and got a show basket with suction cups under them with filter floss in it and it made my bubbles even less. Once I close the door I cant even hear the bottom which I am very happy with. I also just got the lights tuned in just need to wait this darn ammonia to get out of the tank and it show some nitrates so I can get some fishes!
