So I am hoping to start a Caribbean/Tropical Western Atlantic biotope and i want to add sexy shrimp to the aquarium since they are also found in the Caribbean but don't want them to be collected from Indo-Pacific since i am trying to be true to the nature of a Caribbean biotope. If anyone could tell me how to find out more information about where specimens of certain circumtropical species in this case the sexy shrimp are collected from or where most of the specimens of this shrimp in the hobby are gathered from that would be greatly appreciated.

Unless you collect them yourself or purchase them directly from the wholesaler you are not likely going to be able to get a real answer .

If you tell a person that you want Caribbean coffee they will eagerly tell you what you want to hear just to make the sale. It’s just coffee and it’s impossible to know the true

unless you do some footwork, ime.

I totally support self collection if you want to be sure.
