How Much Sulfur in a Sulfur Denitrator?

So I see people talk about how many liters of Sulfur media per 100 gallons to use, but media is always listed in lbs and it’s hard to know how many lbs I really need.

Anyone have an idea of how many lbs of Sulfur Media to use per 100 gallons?

Hi iReefer12,

I ended up converting liters to cups since I didn't have access to a scale. For my tank, I used the formula of total_gallons * .006 = liters of media.

So for a 100 gallon tank, you'd need 0.6 liters or 2.53 cups. (https://reefkeeping.com/issues/2009-01/diy/index.php)

Using an online calculator, 0.6 liters of elemental, solid sulfur should weigh 2.74 lbs. (https://www.aqua-calc.com/calculate/volume-to-weight)
