My Desjardini Tang in QT has developed this single white raised bump about 4 days ago. It appears to be lymphocystis? Could anyone confirm? It’s raised, most noticeable on his left side but can be seen from the right through his fin. At the right angle there appears to be a dark line that runs through/underneath it.

That isn’t a typical location for lymphocystis and doesn’t really have the “look” of that.

Ate there other fish in with this one?

Looks more like a bump or cyst from an injury and may go down on its own. If not or become sore, treat with Seachem Kanaplex in a separate tank as its easily absorbed by the fish

Yes there is one banggai cardinalfish in the qt as well. I haven’t observed any aggression between them.

It’s eating well and doesn’t show any sign of distress either. It’s only odd behavior is a bit of twitching when it comes up to the glass expecting food.

Thanks for the response. He doesn’t seem affected by it. I’ve never used or even heard of kanaplex, I’ll look into it.
