Help: Pink Streaked Wrasse - wound?

I have a recent addition to the tank and it's a Pink Streaked Wrasse. I'm noticing he has some sort of white spot on his left side that looks like a cut/wound. Any idea what this might be? His behavior appears to be the same (and improving as he becomes more confident in the tank). No spots on any of the other fish.

Depending on what the diagnosis is, is it something that can spread to my other fish?

This is just that and should heal on it own. Keep an eye on the spot for healing and not getting red or infected. If so, treatment is seachem Neoplex

Agreed wound.
Watch the damsel and the clowns for bullying. Pink streaks are peace loving fish. Clowns and damsels are not and one of those may be the source of the wound. How large is your tank?

While that might be a wound, it could also be Uronema. Pictures under white light would help us diagnosis it.

He’s had this for at least a week. At first I didn’t think anything of it and he was relatively hiding. But over the week he’s been feeding, more active and behavior has been stable and improving. I don’t think its grown overnight (likely camera angle/zoom has caused distortion of size/shape).

How long will the fish last? Then next would be setting up a QT. If it is uronema, can it host on my coral:
GSP
Mushroom
Torch
BT anemone
Green chalice
Zoa


Can it host on my other fish/CUC:
Long-fin clowns
Fiji Blue Devil Damsel
Hi fin red banded goby
Pistol shrimp

ghost shrimp

Uronema can grow in a tank without fish. It only causes disease rarely some species - for example chromes - are more susceptible. The best thing to do is to keep the tank as clean from debris as possible. I don't know what you mean by hosting on, but I don't believe that it's possible to know whether it can be found on inverts (it can be found in sand). There is no way to really sterilize the tank/inhabitants. You would not need to transfer all of your fish to a QT tank for uronema. If it's in an infection you can transfer the wrasse to a tank with an antibiotic as Vetteguy said - such as neomycin. If its internal uronema it is not really curable.. Hope this helps.

If he is eating, I would get some metroplex and focus to fix in with the food.

Also if this is a new QT, pick up an ammonia badge and some prime to make sure you don't end up with an ammonia spike.

Just to clarify - you need to dose medicated food accurately: for metronidazole, the dose is 1% by weight in the food. You can’t just guess at this - to low and it won’t help, too high and it makes the food bitter and the fish won’t eat it.

I've had great success mixing 1 scoop of metroplex, 1 scoop of focus, and then one tablespoon of frozen food. After mixing, it can be refrozen and used as needed. This is also a standard recipe many others use. Like most things in this hobby, nothing is guaranteed, but this is worth a try.

Without knowing the relative weights of the medication versus the food, I cannot tell you if you are within normal limits for metronidazole, but the following is pretty standard information for people who are going to use medicated foods:
