I have Ich in my tank.

Blue hippo and Firefish showing visible symptoms.

2 Clowns a YWG and Mandarin not showing symptoms.

Started with Blue Tang about a week ago and showed up in Firefish today. Both are feeding and acting normally.

I finally have my quarantine tank set up and am ready to move the fish over but I don’t know what to do about my mandarin.

He doesn’t take frozen or pellets only live pods.

If I leave him in the DT during treatment is he just going to keep the Ich alive while I’m treating the others? Any other options?

With mandarin, best bet would he hyposalinity (1.009 salt level)
Other option would be general cure .
Before proceeding, can you furnish a pic or two under white lighting of the fish ?

@vetteguy53081 Here is a pic of the Firefish with the ich as of this am and a full tank shot….I just got done with a 4 day blackout period to battle some minor Dino’s so it looks really clean right now…also I have a pistol shrimp and a cleaner shrimp and don’t have a 3rd tank to put them in so I don’t think I can hypo my main tank although I may have to do that

If your mandarin is not showing symptoms I would leave it alone in your display tank. idk if mandarins can even get ich.

How big is your QT system? You should medicate the tang & firefish with copper & Nitrofurazone....
Here's a video on how to treat ich.

If you have the extra bucks $ a UV sterilizer would be a good investment in your tank.

Mandarins Can get ich but are resistant. You can leave display Fallow (without fish but allow mandarin to remain and observe daily for any spots) as its food source is also in the main display. For the mandarin, you can add Ruby Rally pro in the display as a safeguard and safe for shrimp and Pods for it to eat.
Dinos, go 1-2 days more to assure the cells have completely died off
UV will not address anything preexisting and address only what passes through the unit
