I will give them a shot when I get home today. Where is c. Eymann on this one? He will probably get better ideas then me.
Thanks! Yes @C. Eymann please have a look. Would be grateful for any help.
Trying to find a “partner” for this species for a sexual reproduction experiment, so a name would make it easier for me to search.
We only got one genotype now, need another one.

These are all my best guesses. Would love to hear if someone thinks any of them are not right so I can learn what is right.

C - abrolhosensis
G - tortusa
J - secale
L - yongei
M - paniculata
S - aculeus
H - validia
K - efflorescence
D - nana
B - austera
O - secale
Q - microphthalma
F - Formosa
U - tenuis
X - intermedia? I want to say it’s something else but I can’t think of it

H could be nana, that’s what I have always called those long branching valida looking acros that normally come with purple tips and small coralites like that but someone could have a better guess. Those types of acros are really hard to tell apart when adapted to tanks. That coral looks amazing under really bright white light. The purple will run down the branch a long way, I never enjoyed them in lower light much. I think the colony I grew years ago might still be circulating at the fish store I gave it to. I like the long branches too.

I think Tricolour was the trade name for Acropora valida? My guess for A. valida is the row to the left of H on the picture The ones with green polyps. But I’m not 100% sure :)

Thanks! I agree on it being really nice looking! :)
But when comparing to Veron’s book, I think these look more like Acropora nana:

I agree and I think tank conditions really affect how it grows but I wouldn’t doubt it could be something else.
This is the picture I am referring to showing it can grow very long branches. I am still trying to learn though I think c eymann can get better guesses than me most of the time.
