Will start the neoplex today then . I was planning the full 30 days in copper so yeah, the dip would be difficult.

switch off meds to neoplex, you could use furan2 OR neoplex. If you already have neoplex, switch dosing over to its use and switch off of the kannaplex
OK, will give it a try. Last kanaplex was yesterday, been doing every other day dosing as per box instructions. Qt tub is 20 gallons

Are they OK to use while in copper?
Formalin would be used as a 75 ppm 30 minute dip, so can be used with copper.
I dislike mixing antibiotics with copper, but many people do that…they won’t react with each other, it is more a preference I have to treat for one problem at a time.

No - that's the problem, Ruby Reef Rally Pro has formalin in it, but at a really low dose, Real formalin is hard to get, but it is 37% formaldehyde gas in solution.

I'd go with the Neoplex first, easier to get, easier to dose. As I said, there is no way without a microscope to ID this as a fungus or a bacteria, so the choice is always the most common ailment - in this case, bacterial.

So the first picture is how it started. He was put in qt tank and treated with kanaplex. Other fish in tank definitely showed ich so all if my fish (4) are in the qt tank together with copper power at 2.5 as well as the kanaplex per box instruction . The next puct is him today , app a week later and he has slowly appearing to get worse. Still eating and active but looks to be slowly disintegrating.... :disappointed-face: water parameters are ...

Ph 8.1
Alkalinity 9
Ammonia 0
Nitrites 0
Nitrates 0
Phos 0.02
Temp 78
Salinity 1.025

Not good. Please work with jay on this. he does this for a living. Humblefish is no longer on here and if youre going to ask questions and seek other advice - youre losing valuable time.
Furan virtually impossible to find and neoplex is best recourse

Already treated per Jay and going with his advice, just seeing if humblefish might be able to tell anything additional. Can't have too much info. I learned tons from his videos and he helped me set up qt tank when initial outbreak happened.

Absolutely did not mean to offend or insult, very valuable info from Jay and going with him 100% already put his advice in action so no treatment was held. Just panicking a little

Well, even worse yet. Now she's sticking close to the bottom and breathing incredibly fast ... the neoplex has been in tank since earlier today. Any last ditch efforts I can do to buy her some time for neoplex to work?

The trouble is that antibiotics take 48 to 72 hours to work. Combine that with the unknown as to which antibiotic to use (or even if the core issue is bacteria) and it makes treatment very difficult. The rapid breathing implies a systemic infection, obviously a really bad sign.

Double checking here - none of the other fish are breathing fast, right?

Think about a human with an infection; first the physician takes a culture, then they choose an antibiotic, then they instruct you to take the full course of treatment. Compare that to aquariums, where we just go with what has worked before - very poor in comparison, but it's the best we can do.

Side note - I saw the picture of the tote with a lid. That can impair gas exchange. While that isn't the core issue here, you definitely want to have a strong air pump pushing room air in under the lid. Taking the lid off would be better, but then, fish tend to jump out.
