Help me choose: IM 40 vs IM 25 Lagoon vs Waterbox 35.2

I also have a water box aio and their baffles go all the way to the bottom. This is the first time I've actually seen this design flaw. I do love the dimensions. It's a great little tank. The DC return pump that's included works great, and the first chamber perfectly fits the tunze 9004 DC skimmer.

My set up as as follows:
IM fusion pro2 with APS stand
Included return pump, plumbed through two spin stream rotating nozzles.
Tunze 9004 DC skimmer
Innovative marine Helios heater
6 watt nano UV sterilizer
Included filter caddy running floss and a small bag of chemipure blue
Tunze 3155 ATO
2x Nero 3 power heads
Radion xr30 pro with RMS mount

So far I have zero complaints about ANY of the equipment, other than the baffle layout of the tank itself. Otherwise the tank is super solid and very nice.

Here is a diagram of the baffle configuration. If they just went all the way to the bottom, it would be great.

Have you seen the Red Sea NanoMat? Wondering if that'll fit in the IM tanks.

Would you mind taking a pic of the IM40 in the room? Trying to gauge how big/small this tank is. I have a couple of IM dealers in my area, but none of them has the 40 on display.

Haha I will take one once I manage to clean up the chaos from having set it up. I set it up over the last few days and moved into the tank from a smaller aio.

I don't know if the red sea roller mat will fit, but there is a guy who makes his own version and sells via Etsy that I know for sure fit. It is a manual crank model.

My tank is going to be a LPS tank, so I am trying to not have the water be too sparkling clean.

I have two of the AI blades and absolutely love them! I went with a grow for each as I like more white than most people. I may add a glow, just for a bit of extra controllable pop in the future.

I went with the blades for that low profile look and then you don’t get any of the side glare like I always had with my radions and others. I absolutely hated looking at the tank and having the glare of the lights affect my view! But with the blades, it’s simply a thing of the past!

It’s made by current USA and is 83g, measures 48x20x20 and is roughly same price (some of those you linked require a $300 shipping charge) but you need to provide a return pump. Current will include a dc return pump at a discount if you bundle it in

The dc return pump is $200 and I believe they will include it for $150 if you buy it with the tank at the same time

If you can fit a 48” tank…this is the deal of the year.

I currently have an IM 40L with matching stand. I love this aquarium, the while setup looks fantastic and my very picky wife even likes it in our family room. The APS stand and aquarium design are very classy and stylish.

Does your im40L sit low?
I’m really looking into getting this one but seeing how it’s only 13 inch high and I really don’t want to spend the extra $300-400 for the IM50 which is about 5” less length wise
