How are you cleaning your tank? Are you using any type of cloth? I'm leaning towards something introduced from an external source, not coming from the anemone itself (though I've seen plenty of naturally occurring filamentous parasites similar to what you're documenting).

Speaking of which, how is the anemone doing, and what type of antibiotics are you using?

Thats a thought, I never thought of linen fibers. Normally after the hot water Scrub down I dry it off with paper towels. And it very well could be, I think you and tamberav maybe onto something. I'll try air drying the tank setup for tomorrow and see if I still continue getting these fibers.

He is doing great but had a bacterial infection relapse. Which I hoped and waited to see if he would beat it without the addition of meds again, but to no avail, he continued to get worse every day without meds. So I started him on his second round of meds using smz/cipro mix (first round of meds was cipro) which he had responded very well too. He's on day 7 and he's doing great. I'm hoping this will finally clear any infection that he had.

Everyone, an embarrassing update, the fiber like items that I kept finding in my tank is infact hair that was twisted together. Thank you all for your help with this issue although I am fighting another issue with him which I'll explain in a different thread
