New to the hobby but I've had my salt water aquarium with lots of live rock for 3 months now and i have something weird growing off the side of a rock.

Looks like a coral but not sure at all.

Could someone please help identify this for me?

Also have a lot of hair algae and many other unattractive algae all over the tank but am seeing this new red algae in some areas.

Is this Coraline algae or some other type of algae?

Any help answering what it might be would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Did nobody help you? if you havent already figured it out the first one is aiptasia and the red stuff looks like cyanobacteria
Agree on both. OP get some aptasia X to kill that pest. Cut your lights back to 6 hours with blue and UV no whites. Siphon up what you can, get a diverse clean up crew in the tank and dose some good bacteria like PNS probio.

Thank you all

I just ordered Aptasia X.

My nitrates have been pretty low. Always below 5 and it's been dropping on its own to 3 to 2 to now 0.3 just yesterday.

Have been not changing water since it's so low. Fish only tank about 2.5 months old now.
