Hello Guys,
I noticed one of my CPDs has developed a white patch on its back that wasn't there before. Since they're quite small, it's hard to get a clear look at it. I hope someone might recognize what this could be.
Unfortunately, catching him isn’t an option as my tank is heavily planted, and they’re extremely fast swimmers. I would need to create a lot of chaos in the tank to attempt that. So, I’m hoping to find a way to treat him directly in the tank that will both help him and prevent the spread of the disease also don't harm the plants.
Is there a safe dosage of aquarium salt that won't harm my plants but could still be effective in treating whatever this may be, or if any factory medicine that does the same?
Tank parameters:
Ammonia: 0, Nitrite: 0, Nitrate: 10, Temperature: 77.9°F, Weekly 40% water change, 15 gallon
Other tank details:
Recently added some plants (properly deep bleached them as usual).
Tankmates: Corydoras and Otocinclus and 8 CPDs in total
Any advice on how to move forward without causing harm to the plants or further stress to the fish would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
