So plan was a 40 gallon breeder with a 20 gallon long sump/display sump. Was going to make a two level cinderblock and 2X4 stand. . . . Had it all planned out until my wife decided that was UGLY. Soooo now I am on the hunt for something "normal" that can accommodate the originally planned 40 gallon and 20 gallon (as I have already purchased a bunch of supplies with those sizes in mind. . .). I see Petco sells some "normal" stands for 40 gallon tanks but would be a really tight fit for a 20L, ATO reservoir, and equipment. . .

Anything I am not thinking about?

Yeah I could make one out of wood, but I am not a great carpenter and the wood stands I have previously made are "ugly"

tslot? tenecor makes pre-fabricated ones or you can build your own from the various websites online which will generally be cheaper.

I went with a heavyduty workbench with a nice wood top for my ots 60 breeder. Tough to find stands for these tanks which is odd to me since they're sold everywhere... Not sure if the op wants closed bottom but was willing to use cinder blocks and 2x4s so I'm guessing not ? :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Have a link to the specific workbench?

It's adjustable which is nice; have it all the way up; plenty of room to work underneath. The wood has a nice gloss finish; solid.

Yall think that top is strong enough/rigid enough that I could put a 40 gallon on one side? Like two corners would be directly over the legs but two corners would be be a bit more towards the middle?

You MAY be able to get a nice one from Glass Cages. They make things to order. May be a tad expensive but it's an option. I say MAY because I don't know if they sell them without an accompanying aquarium.

did your sump sit in the metal bars or just in the floor?
i used a 20G long and it fit right between the legs. i would say there was about a half inch left of length left over, and about three inches worth of width of room. i placed most of my dosing bottles in this area.
