My tank is newish, rock was bleach cured and cycled for 3 months. Im going through my ugly phases and I’m starting to see Cyano showing up.
Water params are

The tank is a 14g cube. I run heavy on the blue side. My a360x is running at max 35%. I’m dosing 1.5ml if microbacter 7 every other day. I test nitrates and phosphates every other day also and dose 1.5ml of neophos and 2ml of neonitro. I have a feeling that this is coming from my ultra low nutrients. My thought process is to maintain my dosing until the nutrient levels come up a bit. I also don’t want to spike them. I’m shooting for .03-.07 phos and 10-15 trates. Am I on the right track with my dosing? Pictures taken with coral glasses to see the Cyano.

Try increasing the flow.
I don’t know how much more I can throw at this. The wave maker runs on its highest setting the majority of the day. I’m concerned about too much flow across the top and harming my Duncan’s.

Does the whole tank have good flow on all sides? May just need to reposition or change the pattern on your power head. Honestly a little cyano is not going to hurt anything and is expected in new tanks.

It looks like a very nice new tank to me. Cyano will come and (hopefully) go away later.

It’s not smothering anything, it’s just unsightly.

Thank you, I’m trying to not over react about it.

i am noticing an influx of pods today, I added a 16oz bottle from Jays reef bugs about a week ago

You could always siphon into a filter sock, save the water, put it back in the tank. That way you don’t have to look at it for the day
