This is my first and only aquarium. It's 10 months old, and everything is relatively stable now. The pulsing Xenia is not glued down, the cabbage leather is. The flow is low on the left-hand edge, moderate everywhere else. PAR is approximately 70 in the bottom-right (the small rock), 50 on the left edge, 100 where the cabbage and Xenia sit, and 125 on the very top.
It feels like time to start adding more corals now that I feel confident enough to keep them alive. If anyone wants to help or offer suggestions, I drew a picture of what I've been thinking. Basically Duncan or galaxea on the top, several cyphastrea around it, and then something else to share the Xenia rock and hopefully keep it from taking it over completely.
EDIT: I forgot to mention livestock (2" clown pair, 1 red fire shrimp, one million snails (no turbos), one billion micro brittle stars) and my totally irrational fear of zoas and palys.
Please feel free to laugh at my artistic work -- done with Google photos.
Any thoughts or suggestions? If they matter, I'm generally around:
ALK 8.3
pH 8.3
Salinity 1.025
Nitrates 10
Phosphates .09
78 f
Nutrients should all be correct and stable now as well. (Did an ICP test and made slow adjustments.)
Any comments, suggestions, help or insults welcome. Thanks!
