I just discovered two barnacle heads in between my OG Holy Grail torch heads (I know… it couldn’t be one that I can’t easily replace if it goes south right?). How would I go about killing the barnacles without hurting the torch. Is there a way to even do that?

Performed surgery on the torch. Was able to remove the barnacles without issue and then dipped in iodine. It’s been a few days and the torch seems to be doing well. Thanks for the help!

I have a question. If this was sold to you as an "OG holy grail torch" wouldn't it have been aquaculture and not straight out of the ocean? The only coral I've ever seen come in with a barnacle on it came from the ocean.

That is a very good point. Very plausible that’s it’s just another holy grail looking torch and not an OG.

I know the following: it is very bright like OG holy grails tend to be and was advertised as such AND there were definitely two barnacles growing in it.

At the end of the day if you're happy with it that's what matters. Some vendors just irk me with their shenanigans.

I am easy to please for the most part and it was very cheap but maybe now it wasn’t really cheap and just normal price. At any rate, still kicking!

Not sure, because a lot of farmers are growing these things in the oceans (near) where they found the "OG"?

Then they get boxed up and sent to many different places which can obviously makes it difficult to trace or follow or verify the OG label at this point in history.

I have gotten a few acro frags with with barnicals. I just got a Wolverine frag with 1 and it was for sure aquacultured. Is it not possible they spread from a wild piece nearby?

If I got a truly aquacultured piece that had a barnacle on it I wouldn't buy from that vendor again. That's just me though.
