I usually don't keep it in the aquarium but this time the grouper was moving abnormally and hence I wanted to monitor the temperature but the morning I woke up i see him gobbling down on a gauge and a wire, i got most of the wire out but I can't get the gauge out of his stomach

I placed a picture and marked on what he swallowed that's the part i couldn't gently pull out and instead he's trying to bite me

Is there any way I can do this?
He swallowed it whole till the suction cup

Did you happen to get his temp? If is warmer than the surrounding water he may have a fever. ;)
I was definitely thinking of turning that gauge on when he literally swallowed my whole finger as if that gauge wasn't enough Lol

He never happened to even look at it before and I think him wobbling around sideways and upside down made him think it was the gauge doing it

lol, Just keep good water quality and make sure that you lower stress levels so fungal of bacterial infections don't set in.
Do you recommend a methylene blue bath? That's what I am thinking of doing as the first treatment

It seems that as I was typing here he spit out the last part, thankfully, is there any treatment I could give him since I tried to pull it out gently and it might have hurt his esophagus

At minimum…. A good and universal treatment would be ruby rally pro which is reef safe
Other in separate tank is seachem kanaplex which is easily absorbed by the fish

Yeah, i am indeed relieved, last night he was swimming all over the tank all sideways and upside down but now after getting that gauge out he seems to be at the bottom resting, not as energetic as the first but still doing alright

He still looks like he would eat (my guys the definition of gluttony)

I recall that and great improvement. Remember the suggested foods as it will keep it happy and nourished
