New tank still. My parameters have been rock solid:
Salinity: 1.026
NO3: <5
PO4: <0.03
Ca: 430
Alk: 9dKH
pH: 8.0-8.3
Nothing hairy, just bright green algae that won’t scrub off, and even the snails can’t get it off. Under the blue lights it looks brown, but these pics are with the lights out and just the room lights on.
I had the brown dinos for a week or two. MicrobactorClean and UV at night seems to have gotten them under control.
I did seed the tank with coraline from ARC, purple helix, as well as a couple frag plugs and snails with coraline on them. ARC has an article that says this green algae that won’t scrub off is the precursor to coraline? Not sure if that’s true or not?
Basically, what is this, and should I worry?
