Left and right side after WC and coral snow treatment today.

Been working under a new routine in terms of day to day. Heavy input (food and other nutrition) and heavy export. It’s been working wonders and I’ve never tested less, with the exception of alkalinity.

Couple more phone pics. Alk jumped a little more than I would like it too, made small adjustments to the dosing schedule. I’m thinking it’ll be fine, usually sitting at 8-8.3 but after testing it came back in the 8.6-8.9 range.

Tank Looks Great!
Thanks!

Shoot we did some diving work out there not too long ago. If there's a chance I'm down there I'll bring some frags haha.

I'll ship em too if that a route you ever wanted to take! - you just cover shipping

Took a trip down memory lane today to see where this little box was. Pretty crazy..

On a side note - I wanted take a quick second to recognize that success is this hobby is not instantaneous. As with everything...peaks and valleys. I see a lot of threads looking for quick fixes with for cyano or dinoflagelletes.. Shoot, I have had cyano in this tank for months now but things are still healthy and for the most part doing well. We see all these meticulously maintained setups with pure white sand beds, tremendous coral growth and have an expectation that we should be right there too. The reality of the situation is literally everybody goes through growing pains, it's inevitable. Generally speaking, the people we often look up to are often the hardest working and work through the setbacks. After accepting this idea and focusing on maintaining stability and continuity I have never had more fun in this hobby and any "successes" are secondary.

It stinks seeing folks get discouraged - I promise there is always light at the end of the tunnel!

Great looking pics! Just curious what do you keep your water parameters at?
Actually just tested yesterday and they were on par with what I’ve been seeing for a few months -
Alk: 8-8.6 with daily changes
Ca: 485-520 is what I see regularly
Mg: 1300-1350. I was dealing with pretty low mag for awhile but since switching to A4R it’s been rock solid every test
PO4: usually .04-.1
NO3: 10-15

pH during the winter has been 7.8-8.2, some times 8.3 between the day and night cycle
