Good morning. Today our daughter is coming home from college for the summer. Then on Monday her and two friends are going on a 2 week road trip to Colorado and a few other states (10 states in two weeks is their plan) Sleeping in her car and a tent along the way. Awe to be that young and carefree again. The three of them have been saving money all year for this trip. Then it’s back home and a summer job.

Good Mothers Day Morning.

Yesterday in my town they arrested a bunch of Jibonies stealing catalytic converters from under cars.
(they steal these things because they are filled with platinum coated pellets)

They jack up a car and using a gas saw (a very loud gas saw) they cut the thing out.

But these geniuses were stealing these from a parking lot of a security company. The side of the car was printed in large letters "SECURITY".

So of course they caught them because the place had alarms and really clear cameras all over the place.

Good 'just under the wire' morning! Happy mother's day to all present and future title holders. i still get a chuckle out of Steve Martin's line: "I do a lot of work with unwed mothers... you know, getting them their start." does that make me a bad son?

Happy Mother's Day to my fellow fish lover moms/grandmas, and all of the other moms/grandmas out there! I've had a fantastic day. Nashville son came down to surprise me. My husband managed to keep the whole thing a secret and I was shocked, especially since our son moved into a new house YESTERDAY! I never gave it a thought. Such a wonderful surprise. :)

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Good morning. Successfully introduced our Nashville son to the new pup yesterday. Introductions are a slow process and take a about an hour, but once you pass inspection, she won't leave you alone and you have a 60-pound lap dog.

Anyone have experience introducing rescue dogs? She's so sweet, but she has major trust issues. I'm hoping this will get easier with time, but I really don't know. She's being walked every day and doesn't freak out anymore when we pass random people, but approaching her is another story. She has come a LONG way in a month.

Have a great day. :)

Good morning everyone! I did a water change over the weekend and so the RODI water storage dropped below the low water sensor for the first time since I added the new solenoid and the Hydros controller turned the RODI unit turned on which went through the auto flush process, and then started making water and filling the RO storage. When the water filled to the high water sensor then the new solenoid valve closed and the RO system shut off. There is multiple redundancies (electronic and mechanical shutoffs plus leak detection) so I wasn't worried what happened if it didn't work, but it was pleasing to see everything work on its own like it was supposed to.

Good morning! We have had two rescue dogs and went through the same thing. Trust issues, scared of people, etc. They both got over that and acted like any other dog after a while. Have a great day everyone!
