My tank has a cover on top so i cant use lights that attach to the rims of the tank and light over the tank it has attach to the underside of the lid or the rim of the tank under the lid. so is there any good cheap light options for something like this?

The things I know off the top of my head are not made anymore.

If you are talking a light for corals then the led lights available will not fit or are not water proof or will burn up as they need air to dissipate heat.

Ditch the lid imo.
Well whats a good reef light under 60 bucks, im planning on getting only hardy soft and lps corals so the light doesn’t need to be super good

It’s a 29 gallon 30x12x18
What type of tank would you like to set up? The reason I ask is because depending on the animals you want to keep will probably have to do with what is recommended. However to make things simple you could get by with a current USA light I assume 29 gallon is 36 in?

60 bucks is a really low budget

The Nicrew 30w is the only one off the top of my head for $60 but it is one puck and would need to be hung high to cover 30 inches.

I think you would be better off spending $125ish and getting the smatfarm led. It’s more power and two pucks so better spread. Build quality seemed better too.

I don't think you're going to get a good reeflight for under 60 bucks so you're going to have to save up for another month. Having said that there are plenty of options available. Give it some time and we will figure it out for you. There are many options available so I'm sure many people will have ideas here.

Is there any other good lights at a $100 price point that are a bar light like the nicrew and not like ones that like drape over the tank like the smart farm?

I think you are looking at the wrong nicrew lights but like everyone said, dont get lights that will fit your tank lid as the one you pictured wont work with those led bars. The nicrew that was recommended was this one, which still isnt best for your size tank given its length and 2 should be used itshttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B08D7D4DN8/ref=twister_B08NBC37C8?_encoding=UTF8&th=1

this is a pretty expensive hobby to have though, so its best to save up and get stuff that will last and wont have you rebuying better stuff in less than a year. With the lighting and corals also comes testing levels, adding flow, and probably most important, using rodi water in the tank. So its important to make sure your budget allows for test kits (salifert, red sea, or hanna are good, just not api), powerhead (if you dont have any already), rodi filter or source of rodi water (not tap water and conditioner, not good for a reef). In your case I would also add a new tank top, probably a diy one from brs or similar

Wouldnt use something like that in a 19" tank though, more like 12" depth, but I think they want that same form factor, higher powered, can fit into their lid, and wont drive up heat being stuck in the lid, and $100 or less which is just impossible to find.

I always have glass covers and never had a light not fit as glass will sit in a channel allowing the full rim exposure

Yes, they come in different sizes. I got mine on Amazon.
I was stating they will. I had some like these a decade ago, mainly by marineland and fluval
